Hi fellas -
We got some bad news Sunday night. My little sister's FIL passed away after an almost two decade fight with leukemia. He lasted a lot longer than anyone thought he would, going in and out of remission. Unfortunately, the darn disease really caught hold this last time and his organs started shutting down. He died peacefully surrounded by his family at home, and has gone on to his heavenly home with our God.
He died too young, but lived a good life with the years he had. He was a very nice guy. If you can spare a prayer or two for his soul, and for his family, I'd certainly appreciate it. Especially for my nieces, who were with him at the end. They are 13 and 10 years old. They just lost their grandfather (now they have none, as my father died when I was 16), and are getting their first experience with death. Not a fun lesson to learn at any age.
His name was Dan Cannady.
