I lost my old account due to a bad computer. I don't have PM privileges with my new account yet. Want to see if the 1895 discussion can be renewed.

What's the difference between a tuba & a tuna?
You can tune a tuba but you can't tuna fish.

The world record yellow perch was caught in 1865 in Bordentown, NJ by a minister. This is also the area of a high concentration of Jersey Devil sightings - coincidence :?: I think not. Now where is Tubby Bass Tuna now :?: :?: :?:

it's a 5-weight (Farlow Armourcane, which are purportedly the same impregnated blanks used in Leonard Duracane - and a $350 rod instead of a $1250 rod).
Great story, too. Sight-fishing a big bass in an oxbow at the headwaters of the Pedernales R. (consistent big fish water here).
The bass was easing toward my cats whisker, but just before he got there, the yellow belly darted out and grabbed the fly. Those two fought the whole time I was landing the fish, and the bass sat down at my feet when I released the yellow belly.
I daubed the fly and bass snagged it instantly - it's like he was impatiently waiting his turn.

here's a big red-ear my buddy caught about 50 yards upstream last summer

WOW does anyone eat these things? They are big money in our local pet shops.

We have their colorful Central American cousins the Red Devil here in multitudes. My Texan buddy Stan Wright caught these with his Tenkara rod.

After reading this, and seeing the fish, I think I will get on the Sousaphone and call a friend to go fishing with on Saturday. It is Clarinet that we have some fishermen on here with a genuine funny Trombone.
