Winchester 94 Trigger

Post by bigtheno »

I have a winchester 94 and the trigger, even when cocked, is extremely loose. It has play forward and even a little side to side. It shoots fine and the trigger does not effect the functionality of the gun, I guess my question to everyone is, is there a way I can stop the trigger from being so loose? I hope I've described the issue well enough. I'm pretty confident for those of you with a 94 you know what I'm talking about. Thanks for any information you can give.

Normal.
I had one a bit looser than most and I made a shim from a piece of 38 special brass for the left side. Fixed it right up.
Kind regards,

Well used pre-64 triggers had a little bit of play to them, but the post 64s are loosy goosy for the most part. As annoying as they can be I've just trained myself to ignore them.

Although a shim couldn't hurt one any.

.

FWIW, as long as it goes 'bang' when I want it to, I don't give a rat's butt how much the trigger blade flops around. .
