30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Thanks for the good wishes, leverbuds.
Spent the day killing juniper trees (until the 1pm shutdown for fire danger which "forces" us to quit before it gets real hot). Then we have to drink a couple beers and eat some peanuts while we do the mandatory 1 hour fire watch. Pretty rough out in the woods these days!
Wife had forgot it was my birthday so no cake, but we had friends over and ate pulled pork barbecue sandwiches and had chocolate ice cream, so mighty fine day!

Earl, I am awful sorry I missed this. I'd take pulled pork sandwiches and chocolate ice cream over a birthday cake any day. Glad you had a good one!
