How do I clean 310 dies?

Post by Tycer »

I have a bunch of 310 dies I'm going to list on fleabay. Some have some lube on them and some have a bit of light rust.
Is there a way to clean them all at once?
Kind regards,
Tycer

I did a previous post requesting some Preventative measures over this issue etc. Now after a quick Goooble search , there are multiple good information sources of your exact question with a good remedy.

I remember that thread. I have a good regimen for preventing rust. These came to me like this. I could google it too, but then I would not be having a dialog with y'all and you can't believe everything you read from the interwebs like you can from these guys and gals.
Kind regards,

What was the name of that stuff that removed the rust and gunk so well? (CRS this morning...)

On precision tools such as reloading dies, I clean them in Turpentine with a small amount of automatic transmission fluid or Marvel Mistery Oil added. 0000 steel wool will remove light rust without harming the black oxide finish and can be done as part of the wash. The oil will prevent further rusting. ATF has rust inhibitors in it.
