Shooting The New Colt 901 In .308

Post by Sixgun »

Guys,
Had some fun upstate yesterday at my bud's mountain. We made it a simple day, In addition to our carry guns, I brought the semi-auto Uzi and he brought his Colt 901.

We kept things simple by using a 75 pound rock for a target.

Just a day trip----6 or 700 rds later, we cruised on home.------------------Sixgun

Me shooting a few from the 901

Tom's son, Joey (who is 13.....and 6'2"!) ripping off 20 rounds from the .308

Tom smokin' a few from my Uzi---4.5 gr. of Red Dot with a 115 cast---IMPORTANT-------LISTEN CLOSELY TO THE BACKGROUND---NOT THE SHOOTING, BUT THE HUMMING SOUND. This year is the 17 year cycle of the Cicada's. There were millions of them all over the place. Very easy to catch and examine. The turkeys are gonna be fat in the fall. :D

Hows this for an idea? Its one of those overseas containers that are about 2" thick. Its neat to keep your low priced junk in to keep the locals from robbing (burglarizing :D ) you.

Its really nice to have a buddy who owns a gunshop. :D We took this case (10 boxes of 20) of Remington Premier Match 168 gr Sierra Matchkings HPBT ammo and shot a rock with it. :D

yeah that one or a cheap chicom knockoff, whichever comes first.

the coolest thing about the 901? you can put a 5.56 upper on it and fling pebbles.

I think the 901 would be an ideal woods gun in Alaska.

Sea containers make great camps and when your a sleep inside stray bullets have a hard time getting you. Here in Florida the camps can get wild at night with weapons fire. So I always sand bag my position when camping.

Hopefully the availability of the 901 will improve and the price will come down a bit too. I would like to have one!

How does one get a cargo container like that...???

MM,
If it is 1400 go get it. :D Dealers cost is $1745. Sure it was a .308? That sounds like the price for a 6920 LE.

Doc, here in the East, these things are easy to find. There are companies that deal in this sort of thing. In fact, I see no issue with you getting one delivered, it just might cost 4 or 5 c-notes more for the delivery. I believe my bud paid $3500 for this one.-------6
