Howdy I am new here and want to say Howdy from the Dusty Texian. I am a Levergunner .I have a couple 1876 Winchesters an 86 and three 94s . I cast my own and shoot Black Powder most. Vintage hunting with the Old Time equipment is my game . Was sent here by my Pard Pitchy. Lookin forward to meetin Y'all. The Dusty Texian :)

these guys are all friendly,
but they can be an unruly, cantankerous bunch.
Mostly we keep each other in check

Welcome Dusty Texian, I bet it aint so dusty there now. There ae some good eggs here, sometimes Hobie finds an old nest and collects those eggs too. We find out right away that they r rotten. Anyhow pull up a stump and sit a spell. Sounds like some nice shootin irons but did Sen~or Pitchy inform U about PICTURES ? Apparently not. :lol:

Boy that is a fine collection. I really want to add a '73 or a '76 to mine. Man are they pricey.

Thank's for the kind word's feller's.Forgot to list the caliber's .From the top is a C.Sharps 1874 /6power RHO scope cal..45/3-1/4" the next down is a 1876 Winchester 28 "oct. barrel in .45-75 wcf.Next is a 1886 Winchester .45/70 gov.Next another 1876 Winchester in 40-60 wcf,and last is a 1894 Winchester cai. 30wcf. These are my most used Hunting rifles.Thank's fer lookin........Dusty

hill country, good stuff - Texas is a big place, and I was going to ask where 'bouts you at?

We got a monsoon a few weeks ago, and we've been getting light rains every morning and evening this week.

30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!

Welcome! Sounds like you enjoy the same kind of hunting and shooting I do. I have several vintage Winchesters and hunt each year with them. Today, I had my Winchester Model 1894 38-55 at the range. It was shipped from the factory in 1897. I'll be posting a report soon.
