Kia took this one this weekend, using her dad's beowulf carbine which she chose because of the ergonomics and lack of perceived recoil [ according to her ]
going to be a rug in her bedroom and they say it has been good eating as well.

Kid does better than I've ever done on bear. Congrats to her. But then again, her smile tells the story, doesn't it.

Great observation Blaine,
Every photo I have of friends and myself while hunting looks like we've slept in those clothes for a few nights. The only gal that ever hunted with us was my teenage granddaughter and she always looked neat and well kept. Of course she never gutted her deer because of all the willing volunteers.

Marlin - a hard habit to break.
Good job, and Beowulf's are COOL...! (journalists call them "50 caliber assault rifles" )
I doubt her finger is really on the trigger, but her short-little-kid fingers make it look that way; caution her to go out of her way to make it obvious to observers that she's off the trigger during photos.

Funny to think that a Beowulf killed the bear, as Beowulf is Old English for Bee Wolf, or Bear. The young lady killed a bear with a bear. Great picture.
