Welcome aboard, Ken N and all the rest of you too. Just thought I'd mention we've got 500 registered usernames. Not all have posted and we've whacked an un-numbered quantity of spammers as well. If, for some reason, one of y'all can't post then please drop us a note with your user name. Perhaps we whacked you by mistake. No one's complained yet so I'm pretty sure we've managed to keep it down to just the bottom feeders that get nuked. Oh. And we're over 6,000 posts as well! :!:

I decided a long time ago to use the scariest avatar out there, me. Plus, nobody will think that their woman would want that. :lol:

Seriously, Colorado Native recognized me from that photo when I walked into the store at which he works. Now THAT'S scary!

Well, I'm not up on the modern cartoon scene but the "avatar" is an image that can be uploaded to one's profile on internet forums to represent the one who is posting. If you'll look to the left of Hobie's posts above you'll see that there's a small picture - of Hobie. Some folks design weird and futuristic images or will use a picture of a favorite actor in some film or even use one of their pets. I like Hobie's avatar 'cause it gives you an idea of who you're actually communicating with - not just what that person WISHES they were like. :-)
