Well said, Jim.
There is also some other things we can spend the money on:
Purchase guns and related supplies from American manufacturers ONLY.
Purchase clothing and or shoes/boots from American manufacturers ONLY.
Pay bills that won't come back next month. Or pay off bills that would have come back next month (credit cards).
Buy stock in American owned firearms companies such as Ruger, S&W, and others that are American owned.
Stock up on non perishable food stuffs, just in case.

We still grow a lot of them here in Wa. and I need to buy a few more old Marlins!!! If we had a REALLY GOOD year maybe I could even get an original 1886 Winchester that I've been wanting for a long time!
Geoff
We will probably buy something for the house....
new air conditioner.....water heater or something like that...
Wife found out about the rebate.....so a lever gun is probably a no go

"IF" we actually do get the $1200 rebate ( I doubt it though) I'm conflicted about what to do with it.
I've been wanting a new short barreled Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt for some time (years) and was thinking of finally getting one.
On the other hand, that money would help with getting us moved out of here.
It would help, but it would not be enough.
So, as I said I'm conflicted.
My bet is I'll be overruled by SWMBO and it will be frittered away on silly things like bills and car repairs.

Someone set me straight on this if you can, but from what I read we're not really getting a "REBATE" What we are getting is an advance on the taxes that we will have to pay the following year.
As I see it the term "rebate" should rank right up there with "entitlement" as some kind of Gov't doublespeak.

Rihmfire,
Thanks for eating all those WA. ST. apples! Just don't eat any foreign ones!! Only Wa. State ones now, well maybe N.Y. and Michigan are OK, but just not as good! Maybe I'm biased.
Every time I might scape together enough to start saving for a Winchester another good Marlin comes along!!
All the best.

I don't know about it being an advance on the taxes that we will have to pay next year, but I'll bet a box of primers it will be considered as taxable income.
