LEVERevolution question

Post by bfm »

I have an older 336 and was wondering if I should replace the follower with a new model before using LEVERevolution ammo in it. I see the newer rifles have a dimple in the midde of the follower for the tip.

None of my guns have it and all run perfect without it.

I've been shooting it out of an old 1952-issue Winchester '94 and never had a hang-up problem with the last round.

If I'm not having a problem with an old Winnie, I can't imagine anybody else having a problem with it either!

I have shot it out of several 30-30's a few 35 Rems, a 444, and a few 45-70's and not one single problem, none have the new followers. Even shot it out of my Win 94AE and no problems.

I think they used the dimple to fix a problem that did not exsist.

Try the ammo first and see if you experience a problem.

P.S. I tried Leverroultion ammo in 35 Rem and 30 WCF and never noticed any issues.

I shoot it in an '06 Win 94, and a 1972 94 both in 30-30. A 35Rem 336, and an 1895 45-70. All these run perfect with the stuff and shoot GREAT with it.

depending on the shape of the dimple, it would be more likely to hang up with the dimple than without it.

But the flat follower might flatten the tip of the last round. That would make it like all the others, which are touching flat primers. Sounds like a solution in search of a problem.
