12ga 870 Express Super Mag?

Post by awp101 »

I've been offered one as partial payment on a debt. Looks clean with very little use, 26" or 28" VR barrel, accepts screw in chokes and has one installed (don't know WHICH one though), no box.

Other than the ability to take 3 1/2" shells, is there anything special about them?

Thanks!

Very exceptional reliability. I've never had mine fail or jamb....either my Wingmaster or SP Mag.

The 870 is a very reliable and tough shotgun. I have three of them and they all have hundreds of rounds through them with no problems. The one I always have in my truck probably has a couple/three thousand rounds through it.

I don't have a Super Mag (the 3" Mag is enough for me) but a couple of guys I've hunted duck and geese with have them and they haven't hand any problems either.

Jr. has one just like it. His was money well spent. We have found out that the best thing to keep rust spots from popping up in that dull remington finish is Balistol.

Thanks guys! I'm already set in the shotgun department but I suppose it'll make good trading fodder...

A Remington 870 12 gauge is one of the most usefull instruments to take game big and small and protect you. Over 60 years hunting and battle proven, NEVER a mistake.

Whether in big bear country or in the hood, I'd sleep peacefully with a Remington 870 12 gauge, with a 18"barrell and full magazine, loaded alternatley, with slugs and 00 buck 8)

No arguments there! Between the one I already have and the A5 I'm good to go.
