So, this weekend at the OGCA show, I picked up a nice Marlin Model 60W for a great price.
According to my research, the 60W was a small run of Model 60's that were differentiated by these items -
A walnut stained birch stock (mine is quite nice)
A gold plated trigger
A medallion on the stock, with a picture of a man teaching a boy to shoot. It reads "Safety, Ethics, Sportsmanship".
The bluing is great, the wood was clean and smooth. It has a 3/8 dovetail in the receiver. I went out a picked up a Nikon Prostaff Rimfire 4 x 32 and Burris Steel Rimfire rings. 15 shot mag tube with a brass follower, but it does have that silly plastic trigger guard....
I should have it all done by tomorrow night and I will post up pictures. Very nice, slim and good handling little rifle....my kids will love it, I think....if they can get it away from Dad!
Nice, new toy...not a lever. Pics added)

I wanted to go this weekend but too much going on.

I was only there on Sunday. It was kind of quiet, but Saturday was apparently a special kind of stupid. Couldn't walk down the aisles.....2ndovc wrote:Cool!

Cool!
I only get to the Wilmington show once or twice a year. I only make that 6 hour round trip drive if I've got a pocket full of play money.
I was thrilled when they started doing a show in Cleveland again! Made out like a bandit at that last show!
