Anyone use the improved tang sight with the removable upright? I have read the few online reviews that I can find. What is the quality, fit and function like?
I am thinking of fitting bases to two rifles, and having a set of uprights and apertures that I can swap out between each rifle. From the info I found, it appears that each click of elevation is 1/4min, but am not sure what the windage value is.
Thanks guys.

Re: Marbles Improved Tang Sight Opinions?
I have not tried the improved Marbles tang sights, but have a few of the regular ones and like them.
The elevation click value in terms of MOA is dependant on your sight radius, not the same as a scope.

You need to find someone that uses it on the same rifle you plan to use it on before you buy so you can verify which riser to get. The chart Marbles has listing the sizes isn't always right. It lists the short riser for a Rossi 92, and that is almost too short.

Re: Marbles Improved Tang Sight Opinions?
I really like the Marble's tang sight, and I have over a dozen leverguns equipped with them. I also keep a half dozen or so spare Marble's sights on hand "just in case". Only two of my sights are the "New Improved" version, and both exhibit very mushy elevation detents, that is, the elevation stem does not click strongly and securely into each detent notch as you elevate the sight. The stem feels rather loose as it rotates and it is difficult to get an accurate setting unless you make an alignment mark on the stem and the base so you can visually see each revolution of the stem. I like the concept of being able to change the height of the stem without changing the whole sight, but I am not impressed with the two "New Improved" sights I have, and will continue to seek out the older Marble's tang sights. I picked up two at a gun show last weekend for $70 each.
I have modified several of my Marble's sights to make them taller by installing a longer eyepiece stem. Here is a link to a previous thread :

I have three of the improved ones. I don`t swap things around though after they are sighted in. They are a fine sight IMHO.
