Guys, just want to put you onto a heckava good boot deal.
USMC R.A.T. (rugged, all-terrain) boots.
I bought two pairs of these. I've been wearing them for the last three weeks and they are excellent! I just got back from a 1 mile, up and down hike on my land with the dogs and my feet feel great. These boots are outstanding!
These are factory seconds and the USMC in the logo has been removed - but that bothers me not at all. Other than the logo, I can't figure out what's wrong with them. I got these on other's recommendations and they were 100% correct in rating these excellent.
Order them 1/2 size larger than you would normally. I wear a size 10 and ordered 10 1/2 wide (my feet are medium to wide). They fit like a glove. They still have a lot of sizes left...
$39 plus shipping (normal shipping cost) - you simply can not beat this deal IMHO.

Grabbing a pair-----------------That's a steal------Thanks pard!
They have two breather holes on the instep so they can't be "proof". But in walking around my land and through puddles and such they didn't get wet inside.

Currently a pair of Wellco Waterproof "desert" steel toe boots.
The RATs are great boots, but they tend to run "small" IMEX...

Well, I've had mine for a month now and worn them hiking and through wet and muddy conditions and such - they are even more comfortable than when I first got em but they really didn't need a break-in...
Both my buddy and I ordered a pair each. They just arrived today. Unfortunately they didn't have the exact size I wanted, so I took the advice to get a half size bigger. I got the 12.5 W, and they are too big BUT they cinch up tight enough as not to slip in the heel, and if I wear thick socks it's not a problem. Thanks for the heads up to a great buy!

Well We will see. I ordered a pair this moring. Boy those $39.99 boots sure take a jump when U add shipping and then tax, 53 something but If I can wear them they are cheaper than Red Wings. I have super sensitive feet and RWs are all I have been able to wear from day 1. No breakin needed.

My pair of 9 1/2 W came today and have been wearing them since they came out of the box. It was a nice surprise to see how comfortable they are right out of the box, no break-in needed with these. Thanks for the heads up!
OK, broke down and ordered a pair today. You guys are a bad influence!

I may have a pair to sell (I am told ) - 12.5 W - just came in. Not a thing wrong with them and everything good folks have said bout them (w/o my actually wearing them about outside). But I let the frenzy of the moment get the better of me (a boot guy and can never look away from a real deal - bad combo!) and likely just will not use. I'm usually 12W and as many have said, one-half size up is perfect. If you need 12.5 W, and if the vendor runs out on you - keep me in mind, shoot me a PM and I will likely let them go.
Mine were here when I got home from work this evening. I usually wear a 12 and these 12.5s fit perfect. Like others have said, comfortable out of the box. Heck of a deal!
O.S.O.K. thanks again for the heads up.
Got Mine about noon today. Put them on right away and I must say they are great. I thought I wore a 9 1/2 so I ordered a 10 W. The 10 is a tad large, could have went with a 9 1/2 for length but I am afraid the width might have suffered, the left one doesn't have any room to spare. Only problem I encountered was getting them on, I have a very high instep and that hole is tite, but once I got them on they were fine, wore them all afternoon walking, driving, doing yard work and just continuosly on My feet. I just took them off and My feet don't hurt. These are not Ur typical combat boots, I cant wear those aymore (don't know how I did back then), If You are skeptical- don't be, U will be glad if U order some, I am glad I did.

I did receive an e-mail notification when order was processed and another when shipped. The shipping notification had a link that let me check status and location of package as it made its way from LA to my house.

I ordered a pair, and my son brought it to me on April 4. I promptly tried them on. It took me only 15 minutes to insert my right foot into the corresponding boot. It took me another 30 minutes and considerable cussing to insert the left foot into the left boot. Another 15 minutes and a lot of panting and barfing and more cussing to lace them up. My sarcastic wife said it's my modular refillable emergency nourishment reserve, otherwise known as "belly", that prevented quick insertion. She also said the boots were made for lean & fit US marines, not for wannabe ol' fanny burp Ramboes like me. Anyhow, I got them on. They feel good, too. I've had them on since April 4 and am now trying to figger a way of showering with the things on. It's so much darn trouble getting them on and off that I'll wear them permanently as of now. I'm very happy with them.
Best,
Antonio
Machado, that is tooo funny, partly because I know of what U speak. I think I even eluded to the belly problem in My critique. Now I am going to give U and the rest of the Guys a HINT that I learned out of neccessity. Beings these boots don't have Pull tabs,- U know that little Multi Tool U wear on Ur side- Yea Ur Leatherman or Generic. Works perfect, You would think it was magic or sumthin.
