For those of you wanting an easy receiver peep sight install on a grooved receiver Henry or Winchester 9422 rifle, this is the Skinner Rimfire Groove peep sight.
It looks high enough, though, to require a new front sight somewhat taller than issue height.
(And, I'd recommend swapping the existing rear bbl open sight for a slot filler blank, made or boughten)
.

Re: Skinner's Henry H001/Winchester 9422 Clip-on Peep Sight
Thanks Pete,
That's nice; bet it would work on my Ithaca 49R.

Re: Skinner's Henry H001/Winchester 9422 Clip-on Peep Sight
I just saw the short Henry (001 ?) at the funshow this past weekend.
The front sight assembly looked...weird. Was I just confused, will an
ordinary Williams dovetail front sight mount in there ?
I am tempted to get the octagon barrel version instead, closeup photos of
that model show an ordinary small dovetail blade mounted with no ramp.
Thanks for the pic of the Skinner rear - it looks like just what I'd want.
