I've had this "need" for a long time and it is getting more urgent!
The "need" is a Smith and Wesson Model 22 revolver, AKA as the S&W Model of 1917 in caliber .45 ACP.
Cost is around $800 bucks. Currently one of S&W's "Classic Guns".
Why? Always wanted one. I had a collection of New Service Colt revolvers at one time but sold them years ago. Never had a Smith 1917. Always have been a fan of the .45 ACP cartridge. Yeah, I know, not a lever gun... Any of you guys have one of these?

Yes,
Have 1917 from The Brazillian Navy re-imports.
In bad shape when I got it.
I put a 6" bull barrel on it and a Bo-MAR rib,
feed it full moon clips,
it is one of the ones that will be with me, when I draw my last breath.

Yep, but the one I once had was one of the NY State Police .45 Colt's.
I just couldn't bring myself to alter it to my druthers, so finally sold it & bought a new Model 29 around 1990.
