Scabbard?

Post by Arminius »

Hello!

I am looking for scabbards for 20 and 16" 92´s.

Not really for riding, as I prefer more HP and a well designed seat ...

;-)

I would like to have scabbards from non abrasive Nylon, which will hold and partially protect a LA.

For Car transport ( and ready to grab ) and the like ... if it has attachment points, that would be a bonus, perhaps I strap it on my Bicycle, too ...

:D

thx in advance, Hermann

There are some designed for use with 4wheelers. I would also check Cabelas, Bass Pro, and Gander Mountain.

I use a Cordua (nylon/canvas) takedown case meant for double shotgun (Cabela's), which case is about 34" long & has 2 compartments, a narrow/straight one for barrels, and another shaped on for the shotgun buttstock & receiver.

My 16" Winchester 94 Trapper fits right in the shaped compartment, with the BP even with the closure end.

nice thing about that Cabelas case is it is available in really short lengths.
I have a 38"er for my baby rolling block, and it's like a tailored fit.

triple K scabbard and hood makes a nice combo

I have a flap-top leather scabbard for my 1873 that is a dup of the original Winchester case - used to be sold by Buffalo Arms, but not any more - I'll check the maker's mark later.

Nicest gun case I own is an Orvis Battenkill I bought in a closeout sale. It was a shotgun case, but it fits my low wall perfectly (and also hauls my shotgun).

I remember when these were everywhere:

Even in 1960-70's CA. I carried my .30-30 in one when I was shoein' horses in the '70s in CA.

I always thought a rifle of shotgun in the rear window of a truck looked cool, and still do. But ain't practical if you leave your vehicle unattended in lots of areas.

New ones can be found in this link: http://www.g-lox.com/VEHICLE_GUN_RACKS.html

Voodoo Tactical makes a good nylon scabbard. You can carry it slung on your back and it also has attachment point. It says it is for a shotgun but fits my 16" Trapper perfectly.
