The DRC has a .454 C, anyone know about it?
I did a search here and other places, nothing new...
Thanks,
Have a great New Year,

Great! I wish them lots of success -- this must have been quite and adventure getting that off the ground.400short wrote:BHA finally began shipping a couple months ago.

Quite the niche market.....It won't do anything my 1895s will do with heavy for caliber bullets.....405s @ 2000 fps are about as good as it needs to get....ditto for 525s at 1400.....earlmck wrote:Great! Re: DRC or Big Horn Armory updates ?????
Yep, that's how I see the present offering: I have no need for the cartridge. What attracts me to their rifle is that I think it could make a wonderful platform for a series of cartridges built on the 22 BenchRest case. The standard M92 length action isn't long enough to accommodate that cartridge, though my Rossi 454 Casull would feed them beautifully. So you'd need the BHA action for the extra length. Now wouldn't those be screamers out of a lever?BlaineG wrote:Quite the niche market.....It won't do anything my 1895s will do with heavy for caliber bullets.....405s @ 2000 fps are about as good as it needs to get....ditto for 525s at 1400.....earlmck wrote:Great! I'd like to see then both make a go of it. I agree that my 45/70 will do all that's needed, heck my 357 lever will do all "I" really need but if we can get another gun company going we're all better for it.

I just had a nice conversation with David Clay of DRC this morning!
He has had some tribulations of late but expects to be back in the swing of this by this spring.
I actually just bought my second Large Loop Lever from him. This one was a S/S unit for my Marlin 1894SS. Great customer service BTW! 888-986-9888 if anybody needs their shop number.

You can get alot further with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone!
