Rossi 92 with peep sight & scope base
Hey I just got me a Rossi 92 with the large lever and 16 1/4" barrel in .38 / .357. What I want to know is can I use one of Steve's Gunz "Bolt-Mounted Peep Sight" and have the Rossi made scope rail mount on the barrel? Will the stock front sight be tall enough to work right or will I need to replace it?
Re: Rossi 92 with peep sight & scope base
Mine is a 44 mag not a 357. I do have one of Steve Young's sights mounted and sighted in. It is lowered into the lowest position. I do not think I could see over a scope base without interference with the current position. A higher front sight wouls solve the problem. There is a FAQ section on Steve's sight that might give you the answer. Also on your rifle the proper setting could be different.

Tried to find the section, but had no luck. All I found was where he was I think basically introducing his sight.rhead wrote:Mine is a 44 mag not a 357.
