Just bought a Rossi 92 this week, 44 mag octagonal barrel.
It joins my 94 in 32 special and the 9422 that was my first rifle, bought in 1979 ( I think, too excited about what dad brought home to note the date )
Welcome aboard. You'll like the Rossi's I have 2; 357 and 45. Hope you enjoy the "enabling" here. Do you have matching pistols for them
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres
250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!
Welcome to the forum. There is a lot of valuable information here, as well has great pix, friendly banter, a good smattering of surprises, and odd assortments of anecdotes.
For instance, tonight brings back a legend to me that I have lived with for some 58 years. When I was 9 years old, an older brother brought me back a metal disk on a chain from Mexico - a reproduction of the Mayan calendar. He stated that on it kept dates until the end of the year 2012. I later heard the date would be December 21st, 2012; their calendar is actually more accurate than those of the rest of the world. For quite a few years I would be a little concerned about that, until the Good Book was revealed to me, which says that no man knows that day.
Well, despite what the Mayan Calendar shows and what legend has been attached to it, we'll be going strong tomorrow, as well - Friday, December 21st, 2012!
Good to have you at our Internet campfire. All the best to you this Christmas season and New Year - the start of a new cycle!

Lucky ya didn't blink, all you'd remember is more cows down in a field south of town
My grandfather moved to Springfield, OR when he retired in the 1980's. I remember visiting once when I was in college and meeting a guy he knew down the street who made bullet molds - I sure wish I'd paid closer attention now!
Thats a good one, I will have to remember that when I get back, I am in Phoenix now for the gold thing.
70 to Cruces 10 to Lordsburg 70 to Globe, Globe to Phoenix.
I know the indian cops name by now.
Welcome from the Texas Panhandle. I'm new here too.
We the people are the Rightful Masters of both Congress and the Courts. Not to overthrow The Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert The Constitution.

I drive 70 a lot from Lordsburg to Safford, I work at one of the telescopes up on Mt. Graham.
Keep an eye out for the county deputy that hangs out NW of Lordsburg around 5pm Never figured out what he's doing out there, not like there's tons of traffic coming in from Duncan.
G'day from the land down under.
Enjoy the Rossi, but watch out for that crescent butt-plate, it'll get your attention real quick with a full 44 load.
