Now that is nifty! I noticed you are shifting gears too. Now if you could only get that four wheeler to burn hay. :D

Pitchy, with your skills, I'll bet you could take the drive train out of a car, and make a steam engine that would fit in there that burned wood or coal. I've often thought that would be a fun project.

My horse got away from me and i crashed, plumb busted a wheel off and tore a hole in my pant leg
We rebuilt it though with some stronger wheels, steel all the way.
I won`t be reining this thing no more to wild, it is a nice trailer for the wife and dog to ride on. :)

My mistake was wraping the string i had attached to the throttle around my had. Went around a corner and the cart tipped over caved the wheel and because i couldn`t let go of the string it wouldn`t stop.
Oh well all in fun

All part of the learning process, I guess. (secretly, I write in my life's tips notebook, "Note, dont wrap throttle string around your hand.")
Thumbs up, Buddy.

Actually the very first tractors were controlled with horse driving lines, the old timers found it very hard to give up the old ways.

Pitchey, you constantly amaze me. If you do decide to make a steam driven car, make sure you have a kill switch for the steam flow and a good pressure relief valve. I don't want to hear you ended up in Canada cuz you couldn't stop it, or in the hospital cuz the boiler blew.
