hammer extensions

Post by rossim92 »

just put a scope on my henry lever and now see why a lot of levergunners use hammer extensions. Found one for it on official henry site. http://www.henryrepeating.com/st-hammer-ext.cfm any opinions towards this brand or any recommendations out there. Thanks. Hope to get scope sighted in this weekend if not too cold :D

Don't quote me on your rifle but my hammer rifles needed the factory designed extension.

I think it's very cool to click and shoot using one, but mine always seem to come loose. At least on Marlins.

I stopped using them on Winchesters because I was having problems with misfires and light hammer strikes. One piece of advice was to lighten the hammer by getting rid of the extension. Seems to help.

I use the Uncle Mike's brand on my Marlins. Never a problem.
