The feller asking for the beans must have been Skeeter Skelton. I heard a story about how one time some friend of his took him to a fancy restaurant, and when the Maitre'd asked how he wanted his Chateaubriand, Skeeter replied, "Chicken fried!" Apparently the Maitre'd recovered.
