A very nice Finnwolf, Shrapnel! Congratulations on a fine purchase! I look forward to you posting your range results.
Sako Finnwolfs look like Winchester 88s but they are totally different mechanically and very sophisticated inside. Finnwolfs are extremely accurate and shoot as well as
any out-of-the-box bolt action hunting rifle. I'm talking less than an inch to cloverleafs at 100 yards! The Finnwolf's downside is parts. Parts are hard to find and expensive. For example, eBay just closed two auctions for 3 and 4 round magazines which sold for $326 and 237.50 respectively! Yes, that's $326 for a mag, but try to find an original one. They also are very difficult to work on and few gunsmiths can. (NOTE: Win 88 mags do not fit the Finnwolf, but I'm told can be modified to fit.)
Two words of caution: 1) Dry firing a Finnwolf is at the risk of breaking the firing pin...always use a snap cap. 2)
Finnwolfs are totally addictive!!! Shoot a Finnwolf and you will want to own one; own a Finnwolf and you'll want more. You know the routine!!!!!
Here's a photo of several 4 round Finnwolfs in .243 and .308:
