1875 Remington and model 25 in 32wcf

Post by moodyholler »

Couple of new kids to look after here at the farm. Pics are not best. 1875 Remington in 44-40 serial 207 and Remington model 25 in 32-20. I also have a 14.5 in 38-40 to photograph. These Remingtons are really growing on me. Later, moodyholler

Oh my! You've got models 14 1/2 and 25? That's the cream of the crop there. I don't have those but I seem to have several of the other pump calibers. Yep, Ollogger's right -- need some pictures of those pumps.

Those little 25s are amazing.....i have a couple .. in 32/20 they are so small and light they are usually mistaken for a 22 pump when you hand one to someone to look at.
amazing amount of punch in a tiny package.

Moodyholler:

I've got one of those 1875's and it is my understanding that serial numbers were issued using only 3 numbers (IIRC). Thus, numbers were repeated for each 1,000 guns that were made. Hope you understand what I'm saying here--not sure I'm very clear on it myself now that I've typed it.

If you decide to pair up your model 25 with one in 25-20 give me a shout, I have a nice one that needs a home.

i have one in 25/20 but it has no finish left, though it is a good shooter, but would love to have a nicer one.

thanks

Now those are some real nice vintage guns! Looks like you have very good taste in old firearms.
