Owl Hoot Trail
Thought I'd ask before posting. . .
I do sketches on outlaws/lawmen/gunman/ranchers/Indian Wars. Post on a couple of gun forums and if there is interest here I will post them. These are serious historical efforts handicapped only by typos Chunks of my adult life have been spent in courthouses, libraries, and archives.
It isn't appropriate for any gun forum but it seems to fit well with SA sixguns and leverguns. If no interest, no problem whatsoever.
My sketches go from ~1800 (The terrible Harpe brothers) to ~1930 (The Mad Trapper of Rat River). My latest is the Courtright/Short shootout, Fort Worth. Many are a bit more arcane, e.g. Scott Cooley and the Hoo Doo War, or Augustine Chacon and Arizona Ranger Burton Mossman.
No reply will be understood as no interest.

...was an Arizona Ranger, wouldn't be too long in town. He came there to take an outlaw back alive, or maybe dead. Said it didn't matter. He was after....
Even without the great Marty Robbins song, the Arizona Rangers earned quite a reputation. Great picture.

Re: Owl Hoot Trail
I, for one, would love to see any sketches you are willing to post.

Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes.

Re: Owl Hoot Trail
Roger that.
First up, "The Tall Texan" Ben Kilpatrick. If there is any colorful language, let me know, I'll edit it out, unless it is an historic quote.
Here goes!
Edit: Rangers photo above is from 1903, maybe in Sedona. . . I believe it's the Verde Valley Company.
