Dummy me - I thought Ithaca was long ago out of business...

Back when I was HEAVY into dove hunting after trying several type and makes of scatterguns I settled on a lightweight pumpgun and my choices were the Ithaca model 37 Featherlight, and the Winchester model 1300 XTR Featherweight. I was leaning more towards to Ithaca due to the bottom ejection but by the time I wanted to order the then Ithaca Firearms had just gone bankrupt so the 37 Featherweight were unavailable. I bought the Winchester with no regrets, love the gun after over 25 years.
Good to see Ithaca back and running, I hope they sell all they can make.

Out of curiosity, would a like-new, relatively late-production original Ithaca 37 have any mechanical, technical or reliability
advantages/disadvantages vs. the new-manufactured ones? I recently saw an original in 20 ga., and other than
having rather plain wood, it seemed very nice.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
