Wow what a surprise...........

Post by hightime »

I've been dirt poor all summer. I put a Winchester Legacy tang safety on layaway. Like new in box 30-30. I though a good deal $599. I thought I'd have no trouble paying for it. Heck I couldn't keep up with the bills. Normally they wouldn't wait this long for someone to pay off a gun. They have been patient , but I felt worried about loosing it. I found another $100 today. I thought if I paid them another bit It would help. They said it was tagged paid in full. What the heck? They wouldn't tell me who paid for it. I was shocked. It took me a while, then I wondered if my son had paid it. I called him and he said yes. He came to town last Fri. and paid it. A birthday and Christmas present he said.
I could cry.

Amen. I love buying guns for my son, he lets me shoot them some, and usually buys me one back... someday, he'll have a passel of 'em!

That's a story to keep a fella humble.

One of life's valuable lessons to be learned in there somewhere.

Your son is a good man.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Thanks to you guys too for understanding what a big deal this is to me. I actually thought I'd loose that rifle. My son lives several hours away and had to plan to do this. He also came with his family to a family reunion this Sat. at our cabin. I didn't get wind of this until last night at the bait shop.
