Gorgeous! Do you have an idea as to when it was made?

I am quietly weeping. Thank you for posting those pics. Please put more up and tell me a story about this rifle.

+1.... 8)
When I worked there they had a couple of record books with all the details on certain guns, it may be worthwhile contacting Westley Richards.

According to WR in UK, there are no records for the Deeley & Edge actions. It does not have a serial number. I was very disappointed when I learned of this. However, it sure is a sweet rifle. I have shot it with 450 BP express loads and it is potent. Later, moodyholler PS more pics on "moodyholler" album in Photobucket.

James, I'm sorry to hear WR could not help, like I said they had records of certain guns but for some reason not all.
Still it's a very nice example of a fine rifle.. :D

Boy that puts my converted No-1 to shame!!!!! Moody if it doesn't weight much more than a No-1, I would agree POTENT is the word, full power 450NE is reserved for when I'm feeling mean

There are some fellows who write articles for The Double Gun and Single Shot Journal who might be able to give a knowledgeable estimate as to its age. That is a real treasure! They have a forum where you could post photos and get input.
