Well, I finally got my act together and got a hammered shotgun. A TTN clone of the Colt 1878 Coach gun, 12 ga. I bought it all slicked up and ready for racing! If you call runnin' a model T racing!
Nice straight wood:
Clean action... only thing visible is the bobbing of the "horns" on the top of the hammers:
No rippin' the palms open for this cat! It has some polishing of the internals, lightened springs & the chambers are nicely beveled for easy loading! The one thing I didn't have done was swapping the left and right triggers. I'm so used to my other doubles, I just didn't want to make the switch with one.

There is a fine line between hobby & obsession! AND... I'm over it!!
No I ain't ready, but let's do it anyway!
Hammers are functional... what would be the point of it, otherwise! China... where else? Hopefully, I'll get as much use out of it as I've gotten out of my Stoeger... 26+ years!

Griff,
You gonna be at CAC. We plan to be there and I hope to have some of my color-case 1878's there too.
I'm glad to hear the hammers are functional! Totally dumb otherwise. There are some doubles from Russia that have them only for show but at first glance they look authentic. That's why I was wondering.
