Sitting here banged up from wrecking a motorcycle and I have a Rossi 92 16" .357 ordered, just waiting for it to show up.
I know from playing with other people's 92's I don't like the stock sights.
I am trying to decide between the Skinner Barrel Mount Peep and the one from Steve's Guns that mounts on the bolt.
So far I like the brass bead fronts from Steve's guns, but I am tempted by the fiber optics since this will be a beat around gun for me, it would be nice to have the extra brightness in low light.
What say the collective?
Does anyone have a full length picture with either of the rear sights?
Got a new Rossi 92 coming, shopping sights.

Not with either of those rear ones, but > here are some with others and with fiberoptics.
By the way you can swap out colors of fiberoptic - the kits of extra colored pieces are just a few bucks. I like yellow and green better than the orange - it can literally be TOO bright.
I do like the idea of swapping-out the flimsy 'safety' for a rear sight, but what I've done so far is swap it out for one of NKJ's "buttons", then put a Williams FP 'ghost-ringed' on mine, or one of the Marble's "Bullseye" sights is good on a shorty lever-carbine.

Wish I could plat with one of those marbles sights, I am usually an aperture sight guy, and it looks like it may work for me.
Though I have a couple skinners right now and I really like them, so the skinner barrel mount is very tempting.
Thanks for the link, it gives me more to think about.

At $15.99 they're cheap enough to just get one and fiddle with it.tattoo13 wrote:Wish I could play with one of those marbles sights, I am usually an aperture sight guy, and it looks like it may work for me.

I'm planning on buying one too. Blued, 16" barrel. I'm trying to decide between the big loop or the regular lever model. I have huge hands so I think I'm leaning towards the big loop lever...

wish they made a folding version of that......would be handy on rifle with tang sights, too.

I would vote for Steve's safety replacement peep for longer sight radius and an XS white stripe ramped blade up front. The blade is almost as bright as a fiber optic without the flare while being a flat topped blade for better definition of elevation and windage.
