I'd tell you how beautiful and serene that view is... but I don't want to seem sappy. So, what kinda fuel mileage did you get?

Thanks.
Now I've got a new background photo for my desktop.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.
History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Awesome Ride, Great Scenery !!
I presume you went through Packwood ..... vacationed there 10 years ago, stayed at the Cowlitz River Lodge right on Hwy 12. Perhaps you went through Eatonville ?? One of my dad's WWII pals lives there.
Cheers,
Carl

Wow ! Now that's darn nice country Blaine.
As a Floridian, I've got a question to ask you : what are those bumpy things in the background of the picture ?
Are those what they call mountains ?
Yeah, I've seen and played in the mountains, but as a guy who has lived in a place for 40 years that is about 8 feet above sea level we don't get to see those great mountains like you all do.
About 15 years ago I flew out to the west coast with work. Looked out the windows - like a kid - most of the way. When we were over the Rockies I was amazed what we could actually see from our altitude. A couple folks seating near me wanted me to lower my "blind" or whatever you call that thing, so that they could watch their movie. I almost yelled back at them " FOLKS, THOSE ARE THE ROCKIES !!". They all thought I was a little odd. - DixieBoy

Blaine, what manner of scoot?
By the way, we lived at the University of Washington experimental forest -- Pack Forest -- two summers when I was a wee bairn in the 1950s ...

Wow is right.

Re: Looking West On Hwy 12, East of White Pass, WA
Hwy 12 goes all the way to Lake Michigan in Chicago. Never tracked it east of there. Wished I had stuck to my plan of taking it all the way west to the Pacific, but maybe next year. Still want to get to the coast by Queets, WA

That Pack Forest is still open and looks to be kept up. I've never gone in thereBill in Oregon wrote:Blaine, what manner of scoot?

I was looking at those Ruckus scoots. I wanted a 125cc and they didn't make those anymore, so I got this one instead as a drift boat shuttle craft. At 80mpg, it will probably be the only thing I can afford to drive somedayBill in Oregon wrote:Blaine, that's a big dang old bike!

Hello Blaine,
That's a nice long run. Love those clear days. If interested, Here's my scoot.

Fla John,
Man, I love that bike. My old 66 FLH gets me around but I really like that soft-tail springer.
Blaine,
Great shot of the mountains.
Wish I was there.
