POLITICS - Letter to my rep. on microstamping bill

Post by Rebel1972 »

This is the letter I sent to my represenative about the microstamping bill in Tennessee.Feel free to use it to send to yours and change anything or add to it or whatever .Let's NIPPIT in the bud!

I urge you to oppose this bill or any other anti second amendment bill .If this bill became law it would only restrict law abiding citizens as the criminals would then steal ammunition to go with their stolen gun further misleading law enforcement officers .It would cause ammunition prices to skyrocket and only the wealthy would be able to hunt or defend themselves .I'm sure you know that Tennessee sportsmen and women, through hunting licenses ,ammunition and firearm Taxes ,pay for nearly all conservation efforts in Tennessee. Were this microstamping bill to become law,it would most likely be the death knell for ammunition sales in Tennessee as manufacturers would simply stop selling their product here rather than build new multimillion dollar factories to accomodate one state's law .

Thank You,
Rebel Dunn

And here is his answer

Dear Mr. Dunn,

Thank you for contacting me regarding this important issue! I am a
strong supporter of the Second Amendment and gun owner rights and I
agree with you that this will interfere with our lawful rights as
shooters. I think it is unworkable and unnecessary, and I do not plan
on supporting this bill.

If I can ever be of any assistance to you or your family, please do not
hesitate to call on me.

Sincerely yours,

Rep. Henry Fincher

MY GOODNESS

This is a politician?

You are very fortunate where you live. There is only one way to take those
words. If only the rest of our elected officials could use plain talk.

Your a good man Henry Fincher.

Well done Rebel1972. That is precisely the type of encouragement our pro-gun legislators need. Thanks for taking the time to write your representative.
