Not a lever gun....Ruger .22 pistol

Hey guys anybody know what the going price for a Ruger MK2 stainless 5 1/2 bull barrel with original plastic case handbook papers etc....this gun is unfired new in the box.....any help appreciated......thanks????????

Thanks all for your help...I had checked on Gunbroker and Gunsamerica but there was no current sales on either. I got the gun BACK for $300.

The story is this. I bought the gun new back in 'o2, never had a chance to take it out and shoot it. My old friend and his wife came for a visit from Illinois and I was showing it to him, He liked it so much that I traded it to him for a used blue MK1 5 1/2 bull and a .25 auto of which I don't remember the brand, and told him I wanted first dibs if he decided to sell it. I pestered him occasionally through the years about getting it back.

He and his wife came up this past weekend and he had brought it with him along with a couple of other guns to trade/sell. It had remained unfired all these years because he had "other" guns that weren't as heavy. So I went online looking for current selling prices, showed him the advise you all had given and also advise from the Ruger.com forum......I got it back for $300, and when I started looking back through the papers etc., there was the original receipt that I had gotten when I bought it back in '02 showing I had paid about $335 for it out the door back then, now the big question for me is am I going to shoot it or let it remain unfired...time will tell.

A ruger 22 is made for shootin' ----i dont think the value is going to skyrocket by leaving it unfired , i'd shoot the heck out of it if i were you , its too nice not to

A Mk II in any configuration is a shooter.

I made the mistake of selling mine years ago and regretted doing it the moment I let it go.

I totally agree about the Ruger Mark III, had one, but let it go down the road not the same as the Mark II, way to many non-essential lawyer-inflicted changes... :)
