Happy Fathers Day gents

Post by rjohns94 »

To all those who are Fahers, I wish you a happy fathers day. To those who still can, connect with your dad today and tell him you love him, or offer forgiveness if need be, or thanks where appropriate.. For those who have lost their dads, I offer my prayers that the memories sustain you until you are reunited with him again. For all those mentioned and for those who never knew your father , I offer you the hope that your heavenly father is pursuing you and loves you more than words can express. Happy Fathers Day to all

I've been so involved with the favors my kids were showering onto me that I forgot.

Thanks for reminding me to call my Dad!

I was lucky enough to spend the day with my fiance, my daughter, and my mom and dad. Did some shooting with Dad, and blew some stuff up with some Tannerite, then took the folks out for dinner. Couldn't think of a better way to spend the day. Happy Fathers Day to all the other Dad's too.

Nicely said Mike.

Got up early, sat on the deck wathcing the thunderstorms roll by.
Was able to spend most of the day reading and enjoying the peace and queit and
watching the dogs wander around the yard and playing.
Got some very nice cards from both stepsons and one from the dogs! :D

Spent the evening with my dad, his girlfriend made us a wonderful dinner.
My wife never new her father, he split when she was five so she's kinda
adopted my dad. He just loves her to death.

Was a great day!

Was out with the family on a mini-vacation this week including Father's Day. It was great to be out with the family. Always the best Father's day I can ask for since my father is no longer with us. Thanks Mike!

planning a trip to a big house on the coast next month with my folks, my daughter, my buddy and his daughters (boys fishing in the morning, girls shopping/beach in the afternoon, girls kayaking late afternoon, and girls pier fishing in the evening). We've stayed at the big house before, on a canal on Estes Flats - just a jump across the Intercoastal to one of the best drift-fishing flats on the TX coast.
Helping my dad put new steering rigging on his boat, and rebuilt his favorite saltwater baitcaster (boy did it need help - anti-reverse was out and casting drag washers had been cupped by overtightening - no parts are available and I had to make new parts from phosphor-bronze sheet). It's working great now.

Spending this week with my daughter - an afternoon at the range, catching up on summer movies - but, mostly, our new Abyssinian kitten is the star of the week. An early birthday gift for my daughter - had to move when the litter was available - and I guess a Father's Day gift for me, too.
We took her on a bicycle ride in the Salado Creek greenbelt earlier this week, and going again this morning.
She did great on the 7-mile ride and I think we'll go a bit farther today.
The kitten is bonding 100% with my daughter, but also loves her carrier - Abyssinians are adventure kitties, hate to be left out and love to be included. She loves the carrier so much, she plays with it at home.
It's not really kitty torture - my old steel bike with latex tubes is super-cozy and the carrier is made for airline travel with a fleece bed in the bottom.
