It's been a big weekend for me.
Yesterday I gave away my only daughter. She has married a young Indonesian man who has promised to love and cherish her, and knowing what a caring nature he has I'm sure he will be true to his word.

Public speaking has never been my forte, in fact I hate it and normally shake like a leaf if I have to do it.
Last night I got it right. Surprised my wife, my daughter, and most of the guests by getting up there and saying what I wanted to say with a few laughs thrown in and no muffed lines.

For the father, daughter dance she went with "Daddy's Angel" by TCarterMusic, and there wasn't a dry eye in the place as far as I could see. If you haven't heard it before check it out on Youtube,

That's tough to do; one of mine is engaged. Thankfully to a guy who I think will be faithful and protective and not quit when the mud gets deep.

OTOH, I'm amazed my future in-laws didn't take a contract out on me the first time we met, given my wild appearance and gun-nuttiness and $50 car I was driving. The first time I met them I was walking out of her apartment's bedroom in the morning wearing nothing but super-short tattered denim pants, with a 'chain' for a belt, and my Super-Blackhawk tucked in the side; my beard was scraggly and my hair halfway down my back... :o :lol:

JB, he was petrified :lol: :lol: :lol:
He had a couple of speeches coming up, an exchange of vows at the alter, and the grooms speech at the reception afterward. he thinks his command of the English language is worse than it is, and it makes him nervous when he has to talk. After the speeches he was far more relaxed.
