Thanks buddy, there was a doll made called Siam Sue and a record to match, i found them on the web and that`s what gave me the idea to make one.
The record reseter is cool but the thing is ya have to rewind the record player every time it plays anyway so it kinda defeats it purpose.

This has been bugging me for a while in regards to making videos, it took me an hour to make and download these two vids.
I`m pretty sure not many here have ever seen either of the things in the videos and when no one replies it disheartening.
I gotta quit posting them when it appears it`s not worth anyones time to reply. :)
No problem if that`s the case

Don't be disheartened. Even though I am amazed and intrigued by your work, I don't often post on it. Does not mean I don't want it or appreciate it.

Jeepers Pitch, give it some time! I let things stew for a day before I figure I posted something no one gives a hoot about...which happens some times. And I don't let it bug me. You only had that thing up for two hours on Mothers's Day, middle of a Sunday before you got your undies in a bunch. No where near enough time.

Pitchy,

I found this thread at 7:20 PM. Clicked on your link at 7:21 and waited till 7: 24 before the first image appeared on the video. At 7:45 I X'd out of it after having watched only 45 seconds of the video.

You see, I'm on dial up and now my computer is a $50.00 used mini sized PC bought as a replacement for our regular PC that died ... again. So it's got an even slower processor than the other one.

I don't even bother with videos any more because it takes so darn long to download them.

I liked the little dancing doll gizmo though. Never seen any thing like that before.

I'd never seen neither but thought both were neat and good music too. I hope Mom is praying for me right now!

Let's see. I worked and churched and we had a shoot at the range that I worked and I talked to my son and oldest daughter on the phone, and my older SIL called and I did some more work and ate a couple of meals all before I came up to the computer...

Pitchy,

You do make interesting things but not all posts are going to be home runs. When you have a long fly ball caught in deep center wait for your next time up for an opportunity to hit the ball and touch 'em all. Maybe I should have used shooting references instead of baseball and used "occasional flier" instead of long fly out but what's wrong with a little off topic among friends?

Was just through it out there to see if video`s are worth the time and people are watching them. I go by the views , when i mentioned it there had been 60 some so figured nobody was interested.
No big deal, some are making more of it then me, thanks for checking them out and Joe i understand the dial-up thing used to have it.
Going for my final fitting of my plastic teeth now :)

Also want to add that people take stress differently, at this point we are staying home with the gate shut and the phone off. I`ve pretty much cut myself off from the people around me.
It`s been rough, some people understand and some people blame the victim, i don`t care anymore. My favorite sayings anymore are , What a world and it never ends.
That along with health issues i`m struggling most the time, so if i`m bugging enough of ya all i probably should take a break.
No one needs to say anything or post on my threads, just testing the waters to see if anyone was watching the vids.
Ya gotta understand that issues have made me very insecure and mad and sad and your support helps.
When i feel i`ve become a negitive issue here i`ll move on also.
God Bless and thanks.

My oldest boy has Autism, and he loves things that are a bit different than what most folks like. He loves old Victrolas and older record players....knows them all, their history and the history of record making. Have to show him your clips tonight. Very cool and yes, I dance exactly like that!

Well thanks gents, hope ya can bear with me, bound to either get better or worse, better i hope.
Something i learned a long time ago is that ya never really know what a person is thinking and why we should watch what we say.
Just like that blond chick on Survivor last night, i figured she would jump all over those three and was a real witch. But she stood up and was real nice and had her reasons for being a little crazy.
Anyway, yep the wheel rolls on the paper sticker on the record and moves part of her and a string attachés to her arms.
Record players, yep have some of these too.

This is what ya use to set the speed right, you hold a light bulb over it and it will look like a spinning wagon wheel. The lines will turn one way or the other and you adjust the speed until the lines stand still.

My oldest daughter has one of those old, crank up record players, a floor model. The really old records are over a quarter inch thick and quite heavy too.

That's a neat dancing doll you made Pitchy!

As ya speed up and slow down the lines will move clockwise or counter clockwise. Ya adjust until the lines stand still and your player is set to 78 RPM.

I`ll fix it up some and post another vid later, can anyone figure out how it works?

Thanks bro, the way it works is the shaft is isolated from top and bass with brass and the shaft is magnetized. In this case i just stuck a magnet to the side of the shaft. As the shaft turns it follows around the base of the dancers, works pretty good. :)

Pitchy,

Because mostly what interests you doesn't interest me too much I often don't open your threads. Even less do I post in your threads.

But don't take that to mean you shouldn't post 'em, you should. Others do enjoy 'em, and except for three or four little whiners people either like 'em and read/participate or just go on by. Certainly no harm, no foul.

You can't live your life to try to please all. All can't be pleased. Some will complain if you hung 'em with a new rope!

So just carry on and worry not. :)
