How many members from other countries?
I thought it would be interesting to see how many members of this group live in countries other than the United States.
What brought this to mind is I noticed two fellows from Australia posting, one after the other. "gundownunder" from Perth and "Nicknack" from Queensland.
I know there's a few Canadians and at least one member from England.
Would some of you mind responding to this and tell us where you're from?
I'm just curious and thought other U.S.A. members would also find this interesting.
It's really great to have all of you guys from other countries in this group and just one more amazing thing about computers.

Re: How many members from other countries?
I've heard California is sometimes considered to be foreign to the rest of the US. Does that count?
Some people just need a sympathetic pat on the head.....with a hammer. Repeatedly.
Re: How many members from other countries?
That is said about N.M. as well.

I haven't done an exact head count but think you will find half a dozen from the land of Oz, although some only pop their heads in once in a blue moon.

Quite a few from the Great White North but it was not so white this year. Only used the blower once and the shovel maybe 3 times. Pisspoor winter for my area of Canada.

Speaking of states that folks get confused about, New Mexico magazine used to have a section of anectdotes call "One of our fifty is missing". They were stories about how uninformed folks thought New Mexico was either a country in it's own right, or part of Mexico.

Our gunlaws are somewhat restrictive, but we can still own and shoot rifles and handguns with appropriate licenses. So its not all bad, yet!!

30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

We got quite an international group here. The picture of Sweden could be just about anywhere in Canada's boreal forest. I see a picture like that and visions of a prospector canoe, lilly pads and feeding moose leap to mind. Fish is dog food moose is food.

Re: How many members from other countries?
Up north the oldtimers fed thier dog teams over the summer with fish buried n the perma frost. I was having a little fun at the fishermen's expense. Fresh cooked perch, pickerel, white fish or trout over a wood fire is some tasty delicacy to be cherished and remembered. When boating I spend the day feeding fish with my stomach contents in anything larger than a canoe.Griff wrote:Being "island born and island bred"... I'll beg to differ... fish IS food! Re: How many members from other countries?
Growin' up in boats on the ocean from a 10' sailin' skiff, to cabin cruisers to an 18' inboard ski boat with a 392ci Hemi... I've only been seasick twice. Once in that cabin cruiser on the way back from Catalina Is. off the CA coast and once in the Navy. On that cabin-cruiser it was very likely the tunafish sandwich Mom made for lunch!Canuck Bob wrote:Up north the oldtimers fed thier dog teams over the summer with fish buried n the perma frost.
