Finally ! I found this gun at a pawnshop I called and the guy said the stock had been "carved on".That was an understatement ! I got it for $185 which I thought was pretty good. Here's the before pictures.

After some hand planing,rasping,sanding etc. it looks alot better.
The rifling looked pretty good and after cleaning looked even better.
It shoots very well with open sights ,the target on the left is 25yds and the target on the right is at 100yds. This was using Rem factory 200gr.

neil you did a fine job on that "custom" stock. That .35 should be sudden death on those Texas hogs and deer.
