Prayers Up Please
After 21 years with my employer on the job I was pushed out yesterday afternoon and I no join the list of the unemployed and looking for work. I covet your prayers for direction and wisdom. I know the Lord Jesus walks with me and Loves me.
Thanks to all your support on leverguns for your prayers last year for my surgery and healing.
Yours in Christ, Beaker

Done. What did you do/want to do? Maybe somebody can point you in the right direction.

Re: Prayers Up Please
Prayers up for ya friend!
That is a tough one.
I do recommend that you take another job right away.(I know that is tough)but I see too many people riding too long on unemployment and when its almost run out then they look(problem is many companies do not even look at a resume if that person has been unemployed for even 6 months)
Here is an example of a job(worst case scenario ) to possibly even take(cause at least you will get Medical/$30K to get trained and within a year should be up to $40K plus??????????
http://jobview.monster.com/Manager-Trai ... 31431.aspx
Check out UPS too!
Also see if Walmart still has a program where they pay for someone to get their CDL and then employ you for local routes.
Good benefits and about $50K a year to start and pass CDL
My cousins husband drives for them(4 years)works 44-48hrs a week and makes $1350@ week(no manual labor/just drive)
Problem is at least for awhile probably no way in heck going to make what you did!
But I say(get after it right now, before lax syndrome sets in)

Been in the same situation a few times. God has always taken care of me for reasons that are beyond my comprehension. He will take care of you, too! Hang in there.

Re: Prayers Up Please
Thanks all for the prayers and support. Above all, I want to walk in the light of the Lord and be a light to others in the world and stand for integrity. I ask for God to grant me wisdom to make good decisions and to be open to his leading for my next oppuritunity.
I was employeed in the pharmecuetical industry for the past 21 years and have 30 years experiance as chemist. I hold a degree in chemistry along with a business degree. At this time I am willing to consider options other the pharmecueticals and do not neccesarily have to be on the laboratory bench, but that is where my experiance and education are.
The regulatory enviornment and pressure by management since my surgery has been great, so it actually is a relief to have the pressure removed from me. Even for a while I would be open to find a lesser postion that would allow me to stay in the area for a while until I do some soul searching and not have quite so much pressure on me but still find a job I can enjoy doing.
On a related note my mother is very near death and my father and mother live in the same town too. So I would like to stay close to my father if at all possible for a while longer.
Again thanks for your prayers and for letting me share my burdens.
