I Wonder If This Is A True Pic???
I have no idea, but if so, it's pretty cool.

Dang. Wikipedia says Morgan Earp was ambushed 3/18/82. Morgan, before dying, whispered to Wyatt, "I can't see a darned thing."

TR was 25 in 1883. The one labeled as him looks a bit long in the tooth for 25, and bears no resemblance to photos of him as hunter and rancher in the Badlands in the 1880s.

Somebody must have photoshopped me out of that picture!

Again? If you do a search you'll see that this photo has been posted here 2-3 times before. Not really of the men purported to be in it...

Re: I Wonder If This Is A True Pic???
You see this picture all the time on the web, and it's definitely bogus. As mentioned previously, Morgan Earp was killed in early 1882, and also, Butch and Sundance were just teenagers in 1883. Butch was born in 1866, so he'd have only been 16 or 17 years old at the time of the photo, and not "famous" yet (or infamous, whatever your preference).
For real pics of some of the "heavyweights" of those times, I've always liked the photos of the "Dodge City Peace Commission," which includes Wyatt Earp, Luke Short, and Bat Masterson, along with a few others I can't remember now.

You didn't find it? I have problems with the search sometimes, too. One reason is that the topic titles can be vague and it is best if you type it exactly...BlaineG wrote:Yes, I search before each post I make.Hobie wrote:Again? Besides, how are you going to get Judge Roy Bean away from Vinegarone?
Certainly not for a photo, and he would hang the rest.
