M71 help
Have found a early M71 for sale,but the bolt peep is gone.Do these ever come up for sale or is there a replacement available?Thanks for your help.

Are you sure it was there from the factory? I understand some guns had the bolt cut for it, but the sight was not installed.
Not that that takes away from the coolness of the bolt peeps, but it may not have been orginal to the gun.

Owner dad lost it. 3# serial deluxe rifle.

Yes, they do come up for sale on occasion but bring a very high price. Plan on spending a minimum of $500 to get a mint condition one. I recently sold a complete 71 bolt with 98A peep for $700.

Too bad about that.
If the price was reasonable, I sure wouldnt pass on the rifle because of the sight tho.
