mailman delivered my 11-48 today

Post by iceman »

I was pleasantly surprised by its condition. The photos were not the best when I bought it but for $225 deliverd to my door I figured I had nothing to lose. It was in great need of an internal cleaning but other than that not bad for a circa 1955 shotgun. (lots of dried oil and crud inside but everything is tight)
I'll give it a test firing on the week end and make sure it works ok but I don't expect any issues. If my nephew who is taking his hunting courses is interested he can have it if not I'll probably reseel it and try and make a little bit on it. It was a good way to pass a stormy winter day between phone calls for work. Here are a couple pics'

I saw one close to that last weekend in 28 gauge, nice looking shotgun.
