Not Levers...Few pictures of my 1858 Reminton Conversions
The brass rod on the holster is an antique hinge pin that is used to push the cartridges out of the cylinder if they don't simply fall out.

One shot on a 300 pound black bear....Right between the eyes at 83 yards (but with a Contender in "30 Something".....I just thought this was a neat picture!)

And with Cowboy 45 brass and Slim-45 bullets, they are amazingly accurate........

I love those with the 5.5 inch barrels. They just look extra lethal and manly.

And just found out that my back ordered 1851 "Brassers" have finally shipped from Cabelas. Ordered them back in November. But a pair of them only cost me $180 with a $20 off, free shipping and a few Cabelas Bucks! These also will be converted to cartridge. But I plan on machining my own cylinders and back block for these. Nice winter project.

Those are right nice looking. Cant wait to see your finished "brassers". The brass hinge pin is an accessory item i have never thought of b4 .
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

I've used both Blackhorn 209 and Trailboss with the sane resyults. Very good accuracy. It's all about those 170g Big Lube bullets in the Cowboy 45 brass........What is the load? Black powder or smokeless?
Re: Not Levers...Few pictures of my 1858 Reminton Conversions
Neat, thanks! I may just have to get one of the conversion cylinders for my 1858. I have such great accuracy with round balls, I never thought much about the conversion cylinders.

I don't know that I'd convert a brasser, but I suppose with mouse fanny burp loads there's little difference between that and a load of black.

A pleasure to admire!

The grlps are made of bone and came with the revolvers.
I've decided to not convert the brass frame revolvers. I ordered a pair of 1860 open top army revolvers To be converted. Kirst side gate converters are on the way.

The contrast between the bone, brass, and blue makes for a really stunning combination. Very nice.
