Both my son (he's 37) and I have not hunted with you before. He is out "bringing in the New Year" but will most likely be interested. Is lodging included? Any info will be helpful. Thanks......

As always, I'm interested. I might actually be able to do something about it this year, too, now that I'm back on my feet again. Just curious, does "first timer" mean first time hunting or first time hunting with you?

What are the chances of killing a Rio Grande Turkey at the same time?
I wouldn't mind shooting some good meat for the freezer (not sure I need it, but...)and have chance at killing a Rio.

I can arrange a Rio hunt simultaneously. Nearly 100% if you use a rifle and about 75% with shotgun.

You can shoot turkey with rifle in Texas??? I did not know that. Now have to re-think that whole deal. Maybe I can find a Marlin in 25-20??? or 219 maybe?

I would be interested if turkey could get thrown in. I would need Bosco on board. We would come down together. His knowledge of turkeys is low in fact if turkeys were armed, he would be dead man already.

Interesting. I have been furiously searching the internet for a 218 bee or better I think, the 25-20 in a Marlin lever. Preferably in a modern Marlin, the CL that was done a while back.

I will keep up my search, If we get this hunt together, and I can't find a lever for the turkey, then may take you up on offer of using the 218.

Maybe I should be looking for a Winchester Lever 10ga shotgun??
