Re: Ruger 44 Mag
One of the most perfect handguns out there:
- Bisley Grip way better to me than other SA grips
Ruger sturdiness
Stainless Steel
Good 'field/hunting' barrel length
Easy to scope but rib not too unattractive if you don't
Comes in a good 'levergun' chambering
Powerful enough for whitetail, but can load down for pleasurable plinking

Re: Ruger 44 Mag
I have the XR3 gripped version and love it. I like the Bisley but it's just a little too beefy for my hands. If they'd slim it down a little I'd go for it.
Good for you giving that - what a gift! I bet you can't wait to see his face when he gets it

Ohhh, I didn't buy it for him, as in a 'gift'!
I have an FFL and I purchased & sold it to him @ cost.

He's quite a gun collector and a super nephew!!!
