Some guns are made for showing, some for shooting

Post by Shrapnel »

I like to do both. This past weekend we had a gun show in Bozeman, I had to setup a display table of unique guns. The are historic, and they have all been shot...

What, no Beanie Babies, no crocheted doilies, no homemade fudge, no beef jerky, just guns? What the heck kind of gunshow is that, anyway?

Wonderful collection there, thanks for the pix.

Too bad you don't have any nice guns to put on your display :P

So are you a dealer? Or a "collector"? Like C&R. Those are all C&R.... just curious. :D

I'm more of an accumulator myself. And I don't have but a few nice older ones...

Some really nice looking stuff there, Shrapnel. Is that Calvary stuff on your table too or Civil War era stuff. I can't tell.

Yes there are cavalry spurs and a Hagner ammo pack for a 50-70 carbine. One of the spurs I found as a kid in a field where we used to have dirt clod fights. My dad cleaned it up and straightened it out. The rowel is still intact and spins freely. The other spur I bought in an antique store to go with it and the buckles are original too. I got the buckles as a gift from Ralph Heinz who is the artist that does all the paintings for C. Sharps in Big Timber, Montana.
