They did it again
Well I think someone did it again. I went into the safe to try to pick out a sixgun for rabbit hunting and wouldn't you know it, Somebody or something broke in and stole all the rear sights of my shooters. I don't know but I can't see them anywhere.

It is actually possible to use a rear 'peep' sight on a handgun - some company makes them as drop-ins for the Ruger sights. I tried one and it was not too bad. Better than a scope on a pistol, anyway...!

That happened a while ago with all of my guns. Except its the front sights that are all gone.

Judge a person not for how they act, but for who you can help them become.

GREAT--that's something else I have to worry about... :)

Sights? You had sights?
What the heck can we do? I don't want to put scopes on everything.

I've tried the One Ragged Hole Peeps on a couple different Ruger shooters. They were not very fast to acquire target. I've had a Burris Speed Dot on a 629 and a BFR and find them very quick and accurate, albeit, a bit expensive. I'm thinking a lit reticle 1 or 1.5 power would be just as excellent.AJMD429 wrote:It is actually possible to use a rear 'peep' sight on a handgun - some company makes them as drop-ins for the Ruger sights. Re: They did it again
I noticed that when I took Y2K to the range last Saturday. I've already put glass on many of my rifles (though not my levers). Looks like I am going to have to do something to the handguns as well!

Re: They did it again
they did that to me sitting on the side of the river at dawn 10 years ago. Could not thread a size 20 midge to save my life. My arms were too short, 5x tippet was invisible, and the sun was coming up too slow.

It's called old age. Optometrists can make you some new cheaters to help out with that. No need to put carrying handles on your hand guns.
