Need Win. 94 .44 Mag. Info
Just how common or uncommon is the 94 A.E. .44 Mag with the checkered pistol grip stock and 24" round barrel? Cross bolt safety. Thanks in advance. 1886.
That's the Legacy model.
on't know about the rarity, but I certainly haven't seen many of the 44mag for sell.
Wished I'd had picked up one that was offered for $400 a couple of years ago. But I got lucky and found one in 45Colt for the same amount about a month ago.
They're not as handy as the Trapper or Trails End models, but they still balance and shoot pretty dang good.

Hey Gary!!
Last one I saw was $650, no box or Papers. They're out there but not easy to find.
I passed on a 357 Legacy for $350 about a month before the Fatal news of the demise of the 94. It was a beautiful rifle and I'm still kicking myself for not buying it!
Hope you are well

The rifle in the middle is a 94 AE 44 mag with checked stock
and Case Colored. I have been looking for another for years....
Yet to find one...
The bottom is a 94 Legacy model with the pistol grip, checkered & blue
I see these once in a while on gunbroker....around $700 and they are
tough to find. Mines a 357 mag

I have one! I swapped a Ruger 77 MII Stainless straight across for it last year. Best swap I ever made IMHO. Of course the other guy thinks I "got took".
Very accurate rifle too about 100 yards with factory loads. (Win White box) Only issue I have had with it was occ misfires which were corrected bu installing a new hammer spring and lightly polishing the hammer spring guide.
